Fruit Loops Treats are an easy twist of the classic Rice Krispies treats. Three ingredients and five minutes is all it takes for this yummy snack!
I grin like a silly-ol' school boy in my head when I drop off my stepson at Kindergarten. I love it. I imagine to myself that I'm in some sort of cool dad's club with the other fathers pushing their strollers down the sidewalk. Sipping liquid sanity from our travel mugs, we fist bump as we walk by each other, and exchange a manly nod in appreciation that we both got multiple kids ready this morning - and they are all still breathing.
My wife and I pack my stepson a cold lunch everyday. Or, if I am being honest, my wife packs Collin a cold lunch everyday. Because she's awesome. It is important to us to pack him a balanced lunch that includes nutritious options like raw fruits and vegetables because we want to teach him healthy eating habits, and as a reward for eating them we keep fun treats on hand for him at home. One of my favorite after school snacks is Fruit Loops Treats. Though, if I am being honest, they are as much for me as they are for Collin!
Fruit Loops Treats are a twist off of the classic Rice Krispies Treats, except they incorporate one of my favorite childhood cereals... Fruit Loops! They couldn't be easier to make either, five minutes and you are ready to rock!
I picked up Fruit Loops last time I was at Target. They recently remodeled my local Target to include a full fledged grocery section, which as a former mall employee I found to be really convenient. Next time you are there be sure to check out Kellogg's Back to School packaging and great on-pack offers at Target.

These are awesome! I like to make a similar marshmallow treats, except I add honeynut cheerios and a bit of peanut butter instead of fruit loops. Delicious!
